eh...it was okay Quite a letdown, considering how much better the previous seasons were, plus there's no subtitles, which really pissed me off, since I'm hard at hearing.
Still, it was okay...
What's the problem? I never watched 24 when it was first broadcast on TV. During a year-long deployment to Iraq I watched the first five seasons on DVD back-to-back and loved it. While I have been waiting patiently for season six to be released on DVD all I have heard is how bad the season was. After viewing it I have to ask "Did you people watch the same show I did?" Though not as good as season five (my all time favorite) it was still a very satisfying season. It is common knowledge that to thouroughly enjoy this show that you have to suspend some belief, the hour by hour concept is good, but not feasable in the real world (just released from 2 years in any prison a normal person would need a couple of days to adjust). I miss the old characters too, but understand that Jack is the focus of the show and all the others are supporting characters passing thru his life and pistol sights. I am still a big fan of the show and will be turning on the old TV when day seven finally starts, I think most of you will be with me.
Best of All Seasons! I own all six seasons of 24 and this season is the best of all of them. The writers did an excellent job. I just hope they bring Bill Buchanan and his wife back into the picture. I also hope Jack's father survived with that little device. |
