Uncensored was WCW doing somewhat fine or even great

WCW Uncensored 1999 was a great show in my opinion. Flair/Hogan was a great cage match to end the night, even though the match's rules were hard to follow (youll see). Booker/Steiner shocked me as good even if it is predictable. Nash/Mysterio a wicked big man/little man affair. Kidman/Whipwreck, Horsemen/West Texas Rednecks strap match, Triple Threat Hardcore match-sandman,raven,bam bam bigelow (a hell of a sloppy dangerous ecw style weapons everything whorebags pipes brawl!). The only downside is The cat/ono vs. jerry flynn (defintely not jerry lynn). This event is a total nonstop 5/5
E.T. Out

Another great WCW PPV

Kidman vs Whiprek- was highflying and high impact a fantastic match I loved it 10/10
Stevie Ray vs Vincent (harlem street fight)- Total Brawl in the crowd but alittle slow 7/10
Nash vs Rey- Contrast in styles I always enjoy big sexy's match this one was good from bell to bell 8.5/10
Ernest Miller and Sonny Onno vs Jerry Flynn- the only stinker on the card fast foward every time 3/10
Hak vs Ravan vs Bigelow (hardcore match)- HARDCORE!!!!!!! great match weapons everwhere I loved it 11/10
Malenko and Benoit vs Windham and Henning (lumberjack)- Soild match 8/10
Jericho vs Satur(dogcollar match)- fairly good a little high risk and pretty entertaining 8.5/10
Steiner vs Booker T- Good match I always enjoy Steiners matches 8/10
Hogan vs Flair(steel cage with barbed wire on top)- Great match classic between the two greatest of all time (WWE tried to claim it invented the barbed wire cage in 2004 which was a pathetic match I mean the point of the barbed wire was so there was no escape and WWE had a door!?!?!?).This match however was 10/10

The suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked

Wise words spoken by Homer Simpson that aptly describes this ppv.

Opening match was Billy Kidman vs. Mikey Whipwreck and was the best match of the ppv and the only reason to get this tape. The match is mostly dominated by Mikey who throws in lots of different moves but ultimately Kidman wins with his shooting star press. I read somewhere that Mikey was fired a week later, I speculate that it was because he didn't play by their rules, like just go in and do the job, let Kidman do his signature moves and do it quickly. It shows how stupid wcw was by firing Mikey, what by only putting on the best match of the ppv!! 9/10

Next match Stevie Ray vs. Vincent forgettable match 1/10 "Harlem Street Fight", it just shows how unoriginal wcw was and Bischoff would never admit that they stole everything from ecw but diluted it 95% they stole the wrestlers and story lines but still managed to get it wrong.

Rey Jr. vs. Kevin Nash. Oh no we didn't get the idea from ecw of Spike vs. any bigger wrestler, this was totally our idea! I don't remember most of this match but it probably sucked 1/10

Cat and Sonny Ono vs. Jerry Flynn. I was hoping it was a typo and Jerry Lynn would be in this ppv. 1/10 another forgetable match

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Raven vs. Hardcore Hak. At the time of this ppv I was a huge Raven mark and still am so this was the main selling point of this ppv. The match up looked promising, I was hoping wcw would be lenient, after all the ppv was titled "uncensored" and the main event had barbwire in it. Back then I would have given it a 9/10 since I was a huge mark, now, as I look at it with sober eyes, I give it a 5/10. It wasn't a horrible match, but it sure wasn't hardcore, unless getting hit with tin foil is hardcore. There were some good chair shots taken by Hak but that's not enough. And Chastity turns on Raven for some unknown reason. Anyways, this was half-assed not by the wrestlers, by the bookers, they didn't care about the wrestlers they just used them. They really don't know how to do their jobs; they know how to waste talent though and I hope they burn in hell.

Lumberjack match
I like Benoit and Malenko, but again I don't remember this match
5/10

Dog Collar match
This match was pretty good. I was a Jericho-holic and still am. The only bad thing about this match was that the mic would pick up the sound of the chain any time they moved around. Very annoying. Still a fun match 7/10

Scott Steiner vs. Booker T
I can't remember this match either so why bother rating it

Steel Cage match. Flair vs. Hogan
They actually bleed! And use barbwire! As the previous reviewer said the old farts stubbornly hog the lime light and won't let talent like Kidman and Mikey take over. It was an ok match but come on give the new guys a chance! 7/10

Ultimately, I think it was the stubborness of the old farts and the hubris of the higher ups that spelled the demise of wcw. Just last week on Raw, Stone Cold commented on how Bischoff told him he would never be a superstar with those black trunks. We all know how that turned out. Bischoff must've felt like a moron, as we all know Austin turned out to be the most popular star since Hogan. Anyways, if you do happen to get this tape, the only worthwhile matches are kidman vs. mikey, 3 way dance, and dog collar match, fast forward thru everything else unless you are sadistic and want to torture someone.
