The Most Brilliant Movie

Fanastic movie. I can't belive you people at movie world havent released this on DVD yet. I loved the action the acting Tom and Bess did this movie proud. I want to be the first person to order a copy when it is released. Come on guys this is the 21st century get with the programme and release it or better still bring it back to the big screen.

Find an old LaserDisc for the best quality

Great movie, what a bunch of duffs for not releasing a successful movie ($28 million in 1983) on DVD. If you want to see the best quality version of it (short of an actual reel of it), find an old LaserDisc of it, they had a much better quality image than the VHS tape and the discs were made by Pioneer (so as long as it isn't scratched, it should still be producing a great image, no LaserRot from them). I write this after finding a used LaserDisc of High Road to China (in the fall of 2007) and the screen image and audio is fantastic - my copy was made in 1984. As it seems we'll never get the DVD version, this is the best version out there. Good hunting to anyone, like myself, crazy enough to go through the touble of doing this.

Family film with adventure, humor and romance

This film is a hoot. It has action, humor and romance. You can sit down with your kids and watch this movie and not have to worry about anything. How can we get the exec's at the studio to get off their duffs and get this movie into a DVD? Geesh, some of the garbage they turned into the DVD format today is saddening and maddening. What were they thinking? Anyway, I hope they get this into a DVD soon.
